This was a great book. I will continue on some of the series. I wished that last book continued as that story was my favorite. It was the most intense book

Sister protection of brother over the top

The narrator was good and the story line not bad, but i got sick and tired of Jasmine constantly talking about and protecting her 16 yr old brother. She constantly talked about him as her only family member and she had to watch over him like he was a six yr old kid. She acted like she was a law man and a one man law enforcer. I haven't finished one book in the series and i can't take anymore of Jasmine, the heroine! She outshines any man in the story. They all follow her lead. Men and women, young and old, say how they will follow her and continues to tell her all the time how she knows the right thing to do. She is a narcissist. A know it all. I can't take it anymore!! I have had enough of this series!!!!

I really liked this box set all the books were great but I really liked the serial killer book was my favorite.

horrible protagonist

The author spends a lot of time on internal dialogs. the conversations dont make sense. The protagonist is a home steader and has no skillset to include her in being included as a deputy or being needed to interrogate people, going after psycho killers and winning and overall is very whiny and makes terrible decisions that dont make sense.

I'm not a writer clearly, but I am an avid reader and listener. I have not been able to get through the book as I literally want to strangle the main character. I've read great books with strong female leads, but they make sense. their back stories fit why they would be able to do the things. I very rarely put a story down. This is a hard blech from me.
