The end of the world was just the beginning.

Trouble is coming for Earth and for the people of Crownhill. The wolfmen were only the start. Trolls and ogres now roam these unfamiliar lands. And worst of all, other humans wait and plot against us. With no one else to lead them, the burden of protecting these people falls to me.

But I am not alone. Bridget and Sakura loyally stand by my side. And now, at last, I am finally reunited with Myrina, my oldest friend. She hails from the world of the Amazonians, and her people have lived with the System for countless years. They know the answers to questions we haven't even thought to ask.

With her help, we just might be able to survive the apocalypse. But she's got problems of her own. Her clan is at war and cannot give me their support. They lack the magic equipment to defeat their rebellious foes. Perhaps a newly minted Artificer might be of use to them.

Nothing is certain, and conflict runs deeper than I ever realized in this world after the Apocalypse.

way fun

I loved getting to go to his friends area. It was great seeing the different world and people.

But it was also a relief to get back to his little area, and all the friends we made in the last book. I am quite enjoying this one!

Overall a solid book!

So, this book builds upon the set up from the first book starting right where we left off. The performances were great! The characters grow and we get some more world building albeit limited to the shard and the new world he goes off to, but it feel just enough without overflowing your mind with information. There even a few hints scattered about for future events, factions, and enemies. I'm looking forward to seeing where his enterprises go for crafting magical items and a what happens with eh two magical factions that will probably be more promenade in the next book.

World building

This is really fun, but the last arc was really trying, for an MC who keeps upping his INT score he’s remarkably thick during it. And this is hardly porn. Least pornographic harem novel I’ve ever read. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I just think the marketing is a bit off

More fun with Carter and the gang as the move on and off world trying to keep it all together. great narration and fun and adventure. Enjoy
