The narrator’s voice is extremely annoying, she’s whiny when she reads as Laura (and most female characters) but somewhat normal when portraying a male role so I think there’s potential for her to be a better narrator. The story had me interested enough to see it through but the POV changes were very strange. One minute the story is being told by Laura from her point of view then the next minute it’s being told from a third person perspective. The POV changes happen mid chapter with no warning, so buckle up!

POV jumps and narration almost ruined this!

Voice sounds like AI. So monotone most of the time. It would have made a big difference if it were a different voice

Horrible voice

This story was a leapfrog of shark jumps, but that narrator…. Beautiful voice. Wrong choice for this book. It made a story that could maybe have been suspenseful sound like a kids book.

Wellllll

The storyline was pretty good but the narration was poor. I listen to many audio books (over 100) and this narrator needs more direction. The tempo was SO slow it felt she was reading to listeners with comprehension issues. I had to speed the story up when I have NEVER done before. Her easing was very sing-songy often lifting her voice at the end of a sentence which clearly had a period. I felt like she was reading to a bunch of kindergarteners. I kept listening hoping it would change but it did not.

Good story, poor narration.

Difficult to listen to and sometimes follow, with the narration. I know this is part of a series…. The story was okay but I don’t think my ears can handle anymore

Was that a human narrator?
