DUET NARRATION WITH A BONUS CHAPTER!

SLEEPING BEAUTY x HADES & PERSEPHONE

Tarian Hadez—thirty-three, real estate mogul, mob lord, most eligible bachelor in New England, god. The god-part is an exaggeration. After all, if true deities existed, then the world would be a magical place, and it's really not. At least, my world isn't.

Calanthe Bloom. That's me. Twenty-four, college graduate drowning in debt, true crime addict, florist by default, single by design. Although not living my best life, I'm enthusiastically pursuing it. Especially, in my dreams, which, since a recent flower-delivery snafu, all feature none other than lethally private Tarian.

Oh, the things he does to me when I sleep.

Wickedly surreal.

Except . . . are they?

Enter a world of gods and monsters where dreams are made of flesh. My Dark Beast is a paranormal romance standalone brimming with spice and intrigue.

Content warning: strong language, sexually explicit scenes, graphic violence, Alzheimer's, alcohol drinking, abduction of an adult, addiction to "magical" drugs (off page), death of a loved one (off page).

I had no idea what I was in for. This was an interesting g book. Something g that I def did not expect. Loved the duet/dual narration which is what I search for most these days!

A bit of false advertising when saying this is a duet but I guess you could say it's A partial duet? Only Zachary Johnson voiced Tarian and only Blair Thatcher voiced Calanthe but all the other male and female characters were fair game; depending on whose POV the chapter was. Not ideal, but I would take a partial duet any time before duel style. Olivia Wildenstein is new to me and wow...she spun a really good, really detailed unforgettable yarn. Unfortunately, I feel that it was a tad overlong, there were times where the pacing slowed down and seemed to lag a bit so it took away from the momentum of the story. But still, at the end of the day I truly enjoyed this reimagining of Hades and Persephone / Sleeping Beauty.

4 starz - worthy of a repeat listen

Not A True Duet, A Bit Too Long, But I Liked This!

The characters were really well written.
The romance made me blush and kicked my feet like a school girl.
But I did not like the mystery part of it, I got confused a couple of times because of all the names. But yet again, I don’t like mysteries in general so I might just be biased.

Nice
