King Oberon and his brothers, Taranis and Mananan, have been separated from the rest of Faerie and their family, the Tuatha De Danann, for centuries. With Morrigan and her generals dead, they are finally free to roam both realms once more.

Curses and rampaging goddesses have left their scars on both the human world and Faerie, and they are going to need not only their immense magic to repair the rifts; they are going to need family.

Oberon will sacrifice himself to save the worlds if he has to. That's the plan . . . right until he meets his fated mate in all the chaos and she blows his plan to hell.

Chrissy loves magic more than she loves chocolate brownies and fantasy books. The problem is, she doesn't have a drop.

When Oberon declares Chrissy is the one that will help save the worlds, she can't believe her ears. She's going to learn when the King of Forests wants something, he won't stop until he gets it.

They might have a chance to save magic, but none of the Tuatha De Danann family will be ready for the darkness growing in the human world. It doesn't only want to break the two worlds magical connection, but unleash ancient horrors on both.

Contains mature themes.

Super fan of Alessa Thorn's books and her world building. I can usually finish one in a day but this is the first time I'm struggling to get through. The narrator is beyond difficult to listen to. Sample it first! Moving to hard copy for the next three. Still a fan.

Love the story...just can't w the narrator

the story was so excellent but I hate the way the narrator performed the story. it was a hard listen. I think I'll just read the actual book from here on out.

loved the story...disliked to performance

I enjoy the stories but my god with every series the narrator gets worse. I don't think I can listen to the last 2 books.

IRRITATED

A modern human-fae romance that is actually relatable in so many uncommon ways and even more, the FMC isn’t impossibly difficult just for the sake of stringing along the plot.

FINALLY a non-frustrating FMC
