Do we ever really move on from the one that got away?

Charissa Collins is a newly published author who embodies both strength and vulnerability. She embraces her sexuality and isn’t afraid to go after anything she wants.

At her first book signing, she runs into her old flame, Robert Lockland. The magnetic pull between them is irresistible, but the pain from their past runs deep. Then, Charissa connects with a warm and intriguing stranger named Tristen Mickelson, who helps her forget her long-lost lover – for a little while.

Charissa finds herself in an unconventional situation that makes her question everything she’s ever believed about relationships. She struggles to make a choice, uncertain if either option will fulfill her desires – or if she really needs to choose at all…

This book is a definitely a steamy read. She takes you down many paths. I thought I knew which direction Natasha was sending the readers, then there was a twist.

Natasha does a great job creating relatable characters. She does a great job with plot twists and keeping you in suspense.

Raina is a strong character who grapples with what she views as her sexuality norms, versus Tristan’s view of what he views as his sexuality norms. Explaining his views and why. She is torn between Robert and Tristan. You will need to read the book!

This is the second book I read of Natasha’s. She’s a very talented writer!

Gripping mystery, unrelenting suspense

As the title says hot steamy and epic describe this masterpiece. Natasha paints a sensual picture with tight heart strings being plucked rhythmically each chapter, keeping the heat coming throughout the story. Can’t wait for more books caressed by the hand of this amazing author. She is amazing and talented.

Overall this is a worthwhile listen or read.

Virtual Voice has some issues and is mostly there but has some ways to go.

The Story was enthralling for me. So much so, that I was concerned about the direction the characters were going in the latter chapters and was cursing the author for what she was doing to them.

Overall, I recommend this book. It is an explicit story about relationships, both physical and emotional, and the scars we carry with us because of them.
If you are not interested in spicy and graphic stories, then this may not be the title for you.

The story was a simple “What Could Have Been” story that morphs into a “Lover’s Triangle” with spicy and graphic erotic scenes.
This story was well done and could have stood alone without the erotica.
I cared about our heroine, the choices she made and the direction her life was to go. While the spicy parts were there and piqued my curiosity, they were not critical to the story. The story was riveting enough to keep me engaged and wondering which way her life will go.
The published description does a fantastic job setting the scene for the book (and the prologue helped to hammer home the “what could have been.”
Charissa, Robert, and Tristen are the three legs of the triangle. The author does a very good job introducing the past love, Robert, and the issues he brings with him to the relationship with our heroine, Charissa. Tristen and his baggage are introduced in a more subtle way. The baggage he brings to the relationship isn’t as apparent until after our heroine has gotten her fill of Tristen, multiple times.
Once the scene has been set, we, the reader, can see the issues that our heroine cannot. I was captivated by the story and found myself talking to the book to help Charissa. Towards the end of the novel I was actually cursing the author for doing Charissa dirty. (I cannot go into too much details as they would be spoilers and I don’t want to ruin the topsy-turvy Lover’s Triangle story. Suffice it to say, it is worth pushing through to finish the novel to see what happens to our heroine.)
There was a darker element touched upon in the novel that was subtle but there, narcissistic abuse. I honestly wasn’t expecting this to be in an erotic story but it helps explain WHY this story is happening to our heroine. Thankfully, this topic wasn’t explicitly explored by the author but was rather used to help explain why the heroine made the decisions she did. At the start of the novel the heroine referencing her “art” (writing) being derived from her past and it wasn’t really clear to me until the end what “past” she was referencing and why.

Virtual Voice Performance was pretty good.
The positive of Virtual Voice was the timbre, pitch and tone were PERFECT for this book. The AI reader was sultry, sincere, feminine, sexy, resonant, and yet demure.
Again, the AI voice was PERFECT for this book.
But
Virtual Voice has some issues and should get there eventually.
Sentence "pacing" - There were odd "pauses" in the sentences read as well as weird compressions of other sentences & words that were jarring and pulled me out of the narrative. This "pacing" issue caused some issues for me with following which character was saying what. I know Virtual Voice will get better and it isn't a huge show stopper right now but it was distracting.
Emphasizing the correct words or parts of word in the sentence was odd. A couple sentences from the end chapters that stood out:
"I don't care if you b@ng other b!tches as long as you keep b@nging me?"
"I love you too"
They read ok in the text here but when you hear Virtual Voice read them, YIKES!
Pronouncing words was a bit distracting a couple of times. One funny one was Rodeo Drive being pronounces rodeo (sporting event that involves horses and other livestock). There were a couple of words that the AI read that were so off, I had to go back 2 or 3 times and re-listen to try and decipher the actual word that was supposed to read.

It's SPICY! (And good)

Captive from the first chapter. I couldn’t stop listening. I’m waiting for the sequel. Very recommended.
