What a story!

I’ve had this book on my TBR for what feels like forever and I’m so glad I finally read it! Emilia Jae had me hooked from the first few words. I have so many theories for the next books and I can’t wait to dive into them.

The narrators did an excellent job! My only complaint being that I wish they differed in the accents a little more so it’s easier to tell when the pov changes. I found myself having to go back to my listen screen to see who’s pov it was. Overall though I think they did great bringing the story to life!

Disappointing to say the least

I just finished an AMAZING series of books and I picked up this book thinking this book would have a STRONG FMC and nope. She’s supposedly a captain of the Kings guard and she’s the most helpless female there ever was “Woe is me… I’m a bastard daughter of the King”. Save your credit and skip this book.

Honestly

I love these books they keep you hooked. After a bit in this book you really get drawn in and mannn I can’t let got. The reader for the females breathes a little heavy in the mic here and there but otherwise I think it’s performed well

I could not stop this once I started!! I was so sucked into the story and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
