Josiah Fisher has lived a quiet life in the Amish community. He has three daughters, but after his wife passed away, he's wondered if he's ever going to find love again. No one else has made him feel that way since. His daughters do not mind that he has not married, but the eldest is only a couple of years away from her rumspringa.
When Josiah meets Madison, he is immediately struck by how caring she is around his daughters. She has an innate care inside her, and he starts to wonder if perhaps he's been a widower for too long.
Madison starts to feel that there could be safety in the Amish community when she meets Josiah after arriving there. She still worries about her ex-boyfriend, but she hopes that this could be the best way to turn over a new leaf.
