plot line

too much "lecturing". Took me 2 weeks to get through when I usually finish a good book in 2 days

AI narrator, same story over and over

The narrator sounds like AI, unnatural narration with weird emphasis in the wrong places, and irritating inflection. Also, the story is just the same outline as all the past Nick books. Disappointing. I previously really loved all the Douglas E. Richards books, but it seems like the quality of the writing and the narrator have gone down hill. I like real science based fiction, but the creativity seems to have been lost.

Pushing the boundaries of “What IF”

The story was so good that it overshadowed the less than stellar narration. I love Richard’s books and typically the narration as well. This is the 2nd with this voice. Will continue to consume everything from this author.

Dougie did it again, exiting, educational and unpredictable. Another great installment to the Nick Hall Saga, and Richards's Body of work.
