This is a full-length, enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy, complete with smokin’ hot-but-morally gray heroes, a smidge of suspense, and of course the perfect happily ever after! Though this is intended to be a stand-alone book, it does take place after the recently completed Manhattan Svensson Brothers series.

Billionaire/Assistant, romcom, crazy family, spice

Billionaire/Assistant, he protects her, crazy family, romcom, and lots of spice.... lots of spice!!!

But what I love about Alina's writing is that by the time we get to the good spice we are so involved in the characters and connected to them, it just makes it that much better. We don't get too much spice before we are even half way through the book. And the wait was worth it!

Salinger finally gets a book!!! He has been so mysterious I am so happy we are finally getting to know him and the west coast a bit more. They have been so secretive. I can't wait to see more of those boys.

This book is the first in the West Coast Svensson brothers series and can be read as a complete stand-alone. Of course you will know more if you have read the other brothers books. But you will not feel left out if this is the first brother you have read. You will get some fun little Easter eggs though if you have read some of the other series as well. But they are just minor, so if you haven't read the books you won't miss anything. But if you have the Easter eggs will give you quite a giggle.

I listened to the audiobook of this, and loved it! I think that hearing the voices gives you so much more as a reader. You really can feel the emotions. These narrators were top-notch.

Really enjoyed this

I saw the other reviews and was hesitant but I’m really glad I got this audiobook. It’s very rare that you get the kind of irreverent humor, true and then we used to lovers that is so often touted by other books, but isn’t really the case. This is a true enemies to lovers book if you don’t like that, look elsewhere. I really enjoy hateful enemies to lovers books. If you are a dark romance, reader and need something light to read in between your dark romances, but still want a touch of darkness. This is definitely the way to go. Is this a lit masterpiece? No but is it fun? Yes. Read this if you want to for the pure enjoyment of it. It’s not meant to be taken seriously.

Entertaining, Steamy Listen

Mr. Absolutely Not! was such a FUN listen. Mandy and Salinger are complete opposites, but somehow they work together. Their adversarial relationship is full of highs and lows, but it’s so entertaining that I couldn’t stop listening.

Mandy is so self-reliant and independent with such a huge heart for her family. She lets Salinger treat her badly, but underneath her snarkiness and gentle heart is a spine of steel. Salinger is so grumpy and entitled and full of hurtful opinions that it’s hard to imagine that anyone could love him, but I couldn’t help but like him. Mandy softens him and he’s absolutely obsessed once he notices her as something other than his assistant. Once he falls, he falls hard and his bossiness and possessiveness is like no other. Put him together with Mandy’s crazy family and it’s absolute chaos.

Meg Sylvan and Tim Paige narrate the audio and they were a delight. I was hooked from the first chapter and lost myself in the story. Full of snappy, flirty banter, hilarious hijinks, wacky family moments, sizzling chemistry and a turbulent relationship that is electric, I found Mr. Absolutely Not! to be wildly entertaining and I loved every minute.

was good but couldn't stand the main female character. there is independent and then there is stupidity for not letting others who care and have the means to help help her. stopped listening cause I could stand her whining , bitch about it her attitude to just allow people to stomp all over her her .Love the grandma though. she was hilarious

Enemies to lovers done right (for me)

I loved this audible book. The narrators were perfect. I am giving this 5 stars because it made me laugh. There are things about the story that frustrated me or made me roll my eyes, but the story was good!
