On March 8, 2022, Goodie left her Lafayette-area home after telling family and friends that she would be driving someone to Houston, Texas, the following day. 33-year-old Ella Goodie picked up a passenger to drive from Louisiana to Texas, and no one has seen her since. Goodie’s two teenage children weren’t immediately concerned when their mom wasn’t right home, but Goodie’s brother filed a missing report when she was still missing on March 11. Police now believe she may have been murdered.
