In the early 1990’s, Hellboy, Liz Sherman, and Abe Sapien are drawn into a bizarre case in New York, linked both to Hellboy’s 1980 adventure with Anastasia in Brazil and to The Lobster’s encounter with the Proteus Club in 1933. A strange community of bizarre humans has been living in secret beneath Manhattan for more than sixty years. Now, though, someone is stalking them, murdering them one by one—someone who claims to be the ancient goddess Sem-Karul. With aid from the now elderly Cynthia Tynan, Hellboy and the BPRD must face the Goddess of Manhattan, and the monsters who serve her.

The Goods: I’m a big Hell Boy universe fan an this was really good short but a solid few ticks of entertainment. Voice and Sound effects are on point and much needed. The soundtrack is actually solid as wells.
The Bads: the story is predictable and not bad but just having a grasp of Hell Boy there’s a bit more of suspense and horror without going over board could’ve been added. The story could’ve dove a bit more into the creatures and given more depth to the villain verses just short cutting and telling us. I didn’t get the book before this but based on this story I can figure out how it went. I would still get this audio book because it’s good and will get the previous story as well.

Great acting and Narration

Amazing tie ins from the first two audiobooks. Thrilling tale of my favorite comic book character. If you liked either of the first two you'll love this!

Great voice acting that really puts you in the story. Great Conclusion of these Hellboy graphic audio books.

This is a sequel to Lobster Johnson: the Proteus club and Hellboy: a plague of wasps: if you have already listened to these two you will enjoy this more although the story is fully capable of standing alone. First thing I will mention is the music was outstanding, the guitar riffs really hit the spot. The voice actors all did an exceptional job which is not always the case with a dramatized version and the story and plot were just outstanding: like a cherry on top of an already excellent production. The old lady in the story is the main character from Lobster Johnson and bringing her back made the story far more interesting. Also having Liz Sherman and Abe Sapien be a major part of the story was enjoyable. Highly recommend!

This was the best dramatized audiobook I have heard yet!

Devoid of Mike Mignola's wit, brevity, or horror. The cast does a good job with what they had.

Not Great
