Faye Kaplan used to be engaged. She also used to have a successful legal practice. But she much prefers her new life as a potter in Woodstock, New York. The only thing missing is the perfect guy. Not that she needs one. She’s definitely happy alone. That is, until she finds her town papered with anti-Semitic flyers after yet another failed singles event at the synagogue. Desperate for comfort, Faye drunkenly turns to the only thing guaranteed to soothe her—pottery. A golem protector is just what her town needs…and adding all the little details to make him her ideal man can’t hurt, right?

Perfectly Adequate 10/10
Jewel E Anne has a gift. There isn’t an author like her. The way she creates complex characters and intricate story lines with an insane about of humor and heart is beyond me, and she gets it right EVERY TIME! This book did not disappoint. I laughed out loud so many times, but I also got teary eyed and felt sadness at times. I’m not one who gives details in reviews because I want you to read it and enjoy every single written (or in this case, narrated) word. Speaking of narration 10/10! I’m such a fan. I wholeheartedly recommend this book. It’s everything entertainment should be. Well done!

Great book
All Characters were bright and funny. Dorothy was sweet and complex, yet simple. I loved how Dr Hawkins loved Dorothy
