Homestart Butser recognises one of their long standing volunteers at their recent AGM

  • Summary

  • Homestart Butser held their annual AGM on the 16th July at Churchers College. Into their 26th year this year, they broke all records. Petersfield Shine Radio heard that 262 families and 365 engaged with their service which is a 48% increase from the previous year.

The final part of the meeting is put aside to recognise one of their volunteers. The award, known as the Audrey Award is a way of remembering trustee Audrey who sadly passed away in 2021.

Designed by Audrey’s husband, Richard, the award goes to any volunteer that upholds the values and gifts that Audrey embodied.

Jenny Cummings won the award this year. She has been consistently volunteering for 23 years. Known affectionately as Nanny Jenny by many of her families, she says she has worked with some amazing families over her 23 years with the organisation.
