It's a Wednesday Edition of Locked On Hurricanes, as the Carolina Hurricanes announced Tuesday that Eric Staal signed a one-day contract to retire as a Carolina Hurricane. Furthermore, they also announced that his number 12 will be retired with a ceremony at some point during the 2024-25 regular season. The Hurricanes also announced a deal to keep Martin Necas in Raleigh for two more seasons in a recent extension back on Monday.
