I,also, grew up on the Mississippi River. I was fascinated by the early travels and the hazards the early boats met, the falls and the earthquakes.

Standout Historical Fiction! Masterful story telling.

There is nothing I disliked of this book. I enjoyed the entirety of the novel. Even though the length is more than my usual “reads” on Audible books, listening at my leisure was pure pleasure at all times.
