Super Powereds Meets Megamind with a Dash of D&D

This book was a blast. Great narration, great world building, great humor, great action. It’s full of comedy, fights, and “numbers go up”.
This book feels fast paced and chaotic, but not aimless. It juggles a lot of plot threads without feeling lost or derailed.
If you like superhero fantasy and/or litrpg, or ever wondered what a mad scientist mage would be like this book is for you!

The meshing of magic with supers was phenomenal

The wait for the next audiobook is going to be killer, I hope they release it soon

Brilliantly Fun!

I absolutely enjoyed listening to this book! It's very well-written, tremendously witty, and highly entertaining from start to finish. It didn't have any dull moment. The characters were all interesting, engaging, and relatable. I think this is my favorite Macronomicon work. It's soooooo good!

There aren't enough words to describe how awesome the narration and production are. They did it so well!

Great book loved the story .... But

There is one point that the narrator didn't look up how to pronounce Fresnel lens (fruh·nel) and it drove me up the wall at first I thought it was just some magical thing I had not heard of before but then they go onto explain exactly what it is and continue to pronounce it wrong. French can be a pain in the butt but I guess I had never seen it written down so I can absolutely see the confusion, still incredibly infuriating. Other than that the book is great highly recommend.

refreshing Take and fluid absurdity

It's not something seen much in this genre. A weird superhero/game/high fantasy/sci-fi world. I have read and listened to lots of all but the superhero genre, and man did this book mix and match with a fluid grace with big sparkles of absurdity. Can't give high enough praise for the ability to have all the things coexist with issues.

Fun characters and a MC that leans heavily on those around, even when they don't realize that are doing it.

10/10, would book again.

industrial strength performance

Steve delivers one of his best performances and the addition of SBT is like the spices that enhance the flavour of a beautiful piece of meat

the story starts a little formulaic but soon starts to branch out and take on a form that's all it's own even if you can sense that Macronomicon touch if you are familiar with his works.

the world is a blast to learn about and the supporting characters have plenty of depth and autonomy, even the background characters are interesting.

honestly I can't recommend this book enough and I know book 2 is already being recorded so the wait won't be long

Another Quality Book from Macronomicon

I have found that I really enjoy this author's works and this one is no different. They always make the main character's abilities feel special and powerful but so is everyone so it isn't broken its just fun and engaging.

I laughed out loud multiple times

I really enjoyed this one. Macronomicon does not disappoint. I found myself laughing out loud many times during the book. Also, it felt like A LOT happened. At one point I found myself trying to remember exactly how something had happened in a “previous book,” only to remember that I was still on book one. I will definitely be getting the next one when it is available on Audible.

The narration was also great for the most part. However, I did note several times where the author read something different than what was in the text of the kindle version. This happened twice on the first page! So I knocked a star off of the “performance” category.
