4PM: The Injured NFC North

  • Summary

  • Matt Hamilton & Molly Brown are back for their third and final show without Jim Rutledge this week. They stumble out of the gates while reacting to the news that JJ McCarthy will undergo season-ending surgery for a torn meniscus. Injuries are always the biggest threat, but should Packers fans be more worried about the other teams in the NFC North when it comes to making it back to the playoffs? Matt is accused of going "Full Rutledge" in his defense for the Bears as a real threat in the division this year. Mark Tauscher joins Matt & Molly to discuss his on-the ground observations from Badgers football's training camp, where Phil Longo announced this morning that Tyler Van Dyke is the team's starting QB "as of right now". They ask Tausch if fans should be considered by the coaching staff saying that it's a "1A and 1B" situation between TVD and backup Braedyn Locke? What's the offense's ceiling with TVD's arm talent, and can he fill the shoes of Tanner Mordecai as a rusher? Matt also asks who fans should know as the biggest difference-maker for the team this season. Molly brings things back to the Packers, where Tausch has to give her a stress therapy session for her concern's about the offensive line (starters and backups included)! Also, what was Tausch's reaction to AJ Dillon's viral "98% grade" response to the media when asked about some of the haters on X/Twitter. In today's Minute to Win It, Molly & Primetime quiz Matt on the 10 offensive linemen that appeared in a game for the Packers last season.
