Fiona Mahoney’s past returns to haunt her present as a prizefighter from her hometown becomes the only suspect in a gruesome, high-society murder.

No one in London knows what befell Fiona’s family back in Ireland.

At least, no one left alive.

That is until her late brother’s best mate arrives in the city for the bareknuckle bout of the century. Blood is spilled in the ring before the fight, and when Fiona is hired to clean it up, she finds that the boy from her past is now a dangerous man who may have answers she’d lost all hope of finding.

But while she frantically tries to keep his neck from a noose, it becomes apparent that her own is at risk.

Follow Fiona into her most chilling case yet, one that threatens to burn the precarious tightrope upon which she balances, and force her to decide, once and for all, on which side of the law she will choose to land.

Terrific characters plot and ‘feel of place’
Not the biggest fan of male voice narrator, love female narrator.

Author can restate same setting or feelings of main character at times for my taste. But has a superb way of making you feel like you are there with her so it doesn’t effect my overall enjoyment of the book

Another great installment of this series

Very good addition to this series. I really like the characters. This story was not as intense as the first two but I still enjoyed it. I missed the original narrator, but this one was pretty good!

pretty good

I don’t know where to begin - this book was completely different than prior books in the series. The writing was flowery & melodramatic to the point of being ridiculous & annoying. The plot line is poorly developed & pushed to the background while Fiona goes from man to man, allowing chance to determine who

Disappointed

The first two were good. But, this is short and terrible. Not worth your precious credit.

This is garbage.

The narration is very distracting. An Irish woman with an American accent? The male narrative voices sound very unbelievable.
The story lacked any depth other than soap opera dramatics. The mystery wasn’t a mystery. First book was good, the second a big drop, now this bottom.
And so short.

Tragic narration - turned into a soap opera
