Would you like sprinkles on your Murder Cupcakes?

Half rabbit shifter, half warlock, Leveret Wong can help anyone who comes into his magical bakery with sleep inducing raspberry buttercream and scones to make a person fall in love. The only person he can't seem to fix is himself.

Eliot Rand, the dog shifter of the Chinese Zodiac is sick of living under the harsh rule of the stars. He wants nothing more than to take back control of his life by rejecting his Fated Mate once and for all. Everything is going as planned, up until he starts working with the sweet, nerdy, funny, yet damaged and touch adverse rabbit shifter.

When destiny is ruled by the stars, fated mates takes on a whole new meaning, and a whole new dangerous design.

Set in the same Universe as The Zodiac Werewolf, this is the first book in the Shifters of the Chinese Zodiac MM Romance Series. You'll love Year of the Rabbit if you like your book boyfriends feral and protective, with sarcastic humor, hurt/comfort, healing through safe words, morally grey love interests, male male relationships, and slow burn love that turns scorching hot.

Note to listeners: While this book ends with a HFN, this is a continuing series with ever evolving relationships. It is NOT a love triangle.

3.5 - rounding up because the narrator did a fab job with the audio! Bret Mykel is a new to me narrator, but he really did a fantastic job articulating 3 MCs. Each of the MCs has a distinct voice and personality - I thought there were multiple narrators at times! He came through with all the emotions and the spicy times were HOT, especially when he was voicing Levy. The book itself has a very interesting premise - I've never read this kind of shift before and it was pretty cool! It was interesting to have 3 MCs, though this is not a love triangle and there is a HFN. The pacing of this book wasn't quite right for me, though - there were parts were it's one MC telling about a past event and that just really made everything drag. AS a result, the book itself is more like a 3ish for me.

What to Expect:
*shifters based on Chinese zodiac signs
*Omegaverse
*magical system
*dark-ish MM romance
*BDSM
*3 MCs - 2 end up w/HFN
*author explains MM+/Why Choose evolving with future books
*hurt/comfort
*Trig and Calculus lol
*baked goods
*choking

Leveret and Eliot story was complex and complicated with a side of dark to make things more interesting.
They both had their insecurities and past hardships that combined with a faulty communication and some unwanted circumstances contribute to their heartache and suffering.
I adored the deserts, the zodiac information, and the compatibility, as well as the quirks of mating.
It had danger and adrenaline, but also intense moments, combined with adorableness, funny, and endearing ones.
I adored the narrator's voices and cadence, as well as his brand of magic that added to the story.
I enjoyed the story, and I’m looking forward to the next couple.
