Everyone loves a Christmas surprise–just not when it's a spy in disguise.

Clean romance

This book is full of surprises and I totally enjoyed it. I didn’t really care for the female narrator, but she didn’t ruin the read.

Silly, sweet and so much fun

This was such a fun read. The spice was just right and it was just a let go and enjoy the ride kind of book that was perfect for Christmas.

Must read for the holiday season

I loved this book. It had hilarious banter. Swoon worthy kisses and packed full of adventure.

Amazingly Wild Ride

Man was this an amazing Audio! I thoroughly enjoyed it! If you are looking for a crazy wild ride you’ll get that and more. A twist I didn’t expect, embarrassing moments, the banter, and top notch action.

Wow. I loved all the punch that was packed into this story! Totally made me think of the Movie Knight and Day, but with its own twist!

Park Bradshaw is a spy and is on a covert mission when he happens upon Lacee and uses her as a way to get sensitive information out of the wrong hands. In a wild turn of events he’s stuck with her through Christmas and poses great as a boyfriend. Never used to actually enjoying the Christmas season he is introduced to a wonderful time.

Lacee was the epitome of normal girl getting into crazy situations. Wrong place at the wrong time. Her sweetness had me. I loved their chemistry and how she held her own.

That. Being. Said. I do feel like everything was tactfully done and completely hilariously innocent. I LOVED every minute of this Audio!

If you liked the movie Knight and Day…

The was a cute story combining cozy Christmas romance with spy-rom-comedies like Knight and Day or Mr and Mrs Smith. The romance wasn’t anything more than kisses and some boxer brief / bra-ogling and the violence/bad guy deaths were closer to Austin Powers comical than OO7.

Minor faults:
I found the pacing a bit slow, with a bit too much repetition of benign things like her constantly thinking that they’d never last as a couple or him thinking about his beachfront property on Kauai. While duet-style narration usually works for me, it didn’t quite sell the chemistry. It also took me over half the book to adjust to Miss Friday’s song-song narration, especially ending sentences on a high note. Finally, perhaps because of the level of “it’s been done before, and recently, in the movies” cliches, I didn’t find this to be laugh out loud funny.

As a fun, cozy (clean), Christmas romance, however, I’ll forgive the little things in favor of the awww. I’ll listen again, probably closer to Christmas and look for more by this author.
