A story about moving forward.

I expect war and major Character developments in the next book. This was a story about how this story proceeds and the foundation and direction of a serialized story. Good choice to write this.

Cliffhanger Reunion

As in all previous “Grand Game” books, the characters are uniquely engaging with a variety of different personalities and quirks. That said, the “cliffhanger” is killing me, honestly my only complaint is that I have to wait for the next book to release. Lol
I LOVE the story, characters, mechanics, lol, all the challenges poor Michael must overcome.
Looking forward to the next book!

Combat

Leveling! Group coming together for bigger group task in near future. Diverse amount of fighting forces. Looking forward to next book!

the performance

I feel like the author has just stalled out on the main story arc. 3 books later and we're still on the same side quest with only miniscule mentions of the main goal. 10 straight hours for 1 fight/raid whatever

One of the best series I’ve ever read

The story plus the gamer style allows me to scratch both the itch of games and reading.
Story structure, progression, pacing, and amazing development.
By far one of the best series I have ever read.

Is fun, but had serious pacing issues

The first 2/3 of the book while fun, do not advance the at all. It is extremely frustrating to have a vast story world with great potential that rarely gets paid off. The first 10 hours are a side quest in which the MC grows strong but does nothing to address the ever-growing list of objectives that the character has. It's sad knowing that we will have to wait months to see the actual story advance in the next book.

Bittersweet

Although I love the world of The Grand Game, Michael's story is progressing at a snails pace. I feel that either the books should be longer or less time should be spent on side quest.

Starting to need some more progression

I really enjoy Michael’s story. I haven’t come across a lot of first person POV litRPG’s, so this is such a refreshing story. Love Andrew Tell as a narrator, I think he does an awesome job.

I love the side characters, loot, and skills. Ghost is a great companion and I really love the rebuilding of House Wolf.

My biggest complaint is the lack of story progression. We see Michael level up plenty, go against stronger foes, and get new loot. Love that part. But it’s starting to feel like we’re inching towards Great Houses vs Powers. Not a huge complaint, but I’m starting to feel it.

Other than that, this is a great series and I’m excited for the next book!

This just keeps getting better and better!

It’s hard to review without spoilers but I will try my best. I will say I like the way in which our MC gains his levels and all. It doesn’t feel cheap a throw at him as an easy win because BOY is there risk! That said his powers and skill set I also like because they are not really overpowered but force you to really think about using them.

My biggest joy is seeing everyone back together again, I was starting to worry that people of the past were going to be just that, of the past. I do find it funny in away that those against the MC keep throwing him into situations, that while totally have killed him before, also make him stronger!

All in all I am loving it all and waiting to see what happens next!

Great Continuation of the story

First 2/3rds of the book are great. Action, problem solving, new interesting characters. The final 1/3rd of the book is effectively setting up the next book. Necessary prose maybe. I think the book would have been served well by adding about 7-10 chapters and ending on a series of cliffhangers given everything that is coming. Still, continues to be my favorite litrpg series.
