This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
It's been thirty years since the Convergence, when the dimensions aligned and combined Earth and the world of Gwyllon, known in human mythology as “Underhill”. Elven castles and ancient ruins sprouted on vacant lots and merged with existing buildings, twisting into new structures. Roads and rail systems reformed, and after the rioting, starvation and death, agriculture sorted itself and food began to flow. A new government formed of elves and men arose, a society of human tech and elven magic. Cell phones and frost giants, race cars and elven steeds, dungeons and dragons…

And everywhere, monsters.

Tree mage Juniper was twenty-three, a child of the new generation. When she found a source of magic buried in an abandoned park, she made a deal with the city. If she can stabilize the park’s wild magic, she’ll own it…if she can survive. Now she has to clear out magic spawned monsters, deal with a werewolf suitor and survive her bloodthirsty dragon uncle. She’s going to have to dig deep to subdue Bramble Burn Park.

Hot but sweet romance. Does not contain explicit sex scenes.

What readers are saying:
“Fantastic Fun with Flora!”
“Light-hearted fantasy smattered with romance!”
“I love the female lead--she's a strong and no-nonsense plant mage and she makes it look sexy and easy.”
“Still, this is all in all a good, solid story with well fleshed central characters and a warm family quality.”
“You won’t be disappointed by reading this book if you’re looking for a novel plot, a gutsy heroine, and excellent supporting characters.”
“Absolutely love this book. Very strong female heroine. Reminds me of the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. Highly recommend it. Clean, funny, great world building, action packed. Very original, too.”
“A fun, gentle almost cozy urban fantasy that didn’t escalate to world-ending stakes. How refreshing!”
“Bramble Burn is a good read with interesting characters and a catchy plot. The romance angle is a nice hook and I was glad that sex wasn’t the main driving force of the book.”
“Her writing style and detail drew me in chapter after chapter. I really didn’t want it to end!”

I don’t like being asked to pay for a book that’s in my library!!! I liked the book and want to listen to it again, and your app is asking me to pay for it again.

Problem in your library accounts!

It was virtual voice and too mechanical. I couldn't get the jist of the story. A lot of bad things happening and the sarcasm or humor was not inflected.

It was virtual voice

Sometimes the narrator diminishes the story, other times it makes the story. While this was a virtual voice, in my opinion, it really added to the story. I'm not sure I could have finished it in digital print.

The narrator improved the story

The story by the author is great. Virtual voice totally ruined it. It was horrible. It literally sucked the life out of the story. Pronunciation were wrong, inflections were wrong, the characters sounded so much alike it was often confusing who was speaking. There was nothing of emotion to match what was going on with the story. This is the second attempt I made to listen to virtual voice but I honestly feel like they have NO place in an audiobook. I definitely wish that the option to NOT include virtual voice in our search results when browsing for books on audible was part of the filtering. I am so saddened by this virtual voice and what I believe will be a huge negative effect on audiobooks in the future.

Virtual voice not for me
