I was grinning most of the time while listening to this. Travis is the GOAT

Another surprise

Think this was offered as part of the Plus catalog. I was getting burned out on the grim/dark titles left in my library and thought "what the hell, why not. Travis Baldree is narrating and he's always enjoyable." I listened to nothing else until rhe book ended. I know there are a few people who don't like Travis Baldree's narration all that much, but I really appreciate the effort he puts into what he narrates. The story is an easy on the mind story and I like how the protagonist wants to enjoy his family and his life.

Great start

I read the story a long time ago and the performance is great! I love it and it sets the bases for the rest of the story. If you are new to fantasy, this story is a great start.

Great fun guilty pleasure listen!

Lots of fun and greatly entertaining! Narration is amazing of course and the writing is clean and straightforward enough that the story comes through great! Ideas aren’t super complicated or greatly original but it’s worth it and so much fun! The anime is cool too!

Amazing story

Loved this audio book, the only issue i have is with the accents but i think that’s just a preference issue of mine.
