Very good

Good stuff! Very deep emotional stuff going on in this one. A ton - a TON. Not even a little light hearted. This is a bunch about Jack’s mental childhood baggage about not fitting into either mom’s new family or single dad’s life; and Cami’s emotions about not really fitting in bc she was adopted as a Hispanic child in a very blonde family/community. This really overshadowed the story imo. The love story kind of took a back seat to all this, especially if you’ve followed Jack in the other books in the series. He’s got a lot to unpack. So the couple bonds over their “accidental-ness” and how they need each other. But mostly I felt like the book was about how damaged these two people are. I wish there was less about this bc it just took over the book imo. It was more depressing than love story to me…
