Alex and a ragtag group of soldiers set down on an isolated island and begin to build a base. A lack of resources means that everyone is going to have to risk their life to gather the essentials needed for survival. Raiding parties are sent on missions deep into the heart of zombie territory. Some will return, while others will be lost forever to the hoards of undead that roam the mainland.

Alex knows he has no choice, and that he and his friends must hunt resources in the most dangerous places, surrounded by the deadliest enemies. But it soon becomes apparent that the zombies are only part of the threat they face. Led by a deranged brigadier, a faction of the army is hellbent on the destruction of the human race.

Great series

I stumbled upon this series on a whim and I really enjoyed it. Even though it’s an apocalyptic tale it’s a very easy listen with enough substance that you can really empathize with the characters. My only critique is that the books are too short ( this could’ve been 1 whole book and it would’ve been great and my other criticisms is I need more!)
