Love Dan and Sloane

If you read the first series you got to meet Dan and Sloane. I was hoping we would eventually get to see them again and maybe they would get a story. There was another character I am hoping for as well. I was excited when I saw this was coming and it did not disappoint. Dan and Sloane still have great chemistry together. Great romance and suspense. Getting to see some old friends in the characters from the first series. Overall such a great read and I don’t want to spoil anything. You don’t have to read the first series to enjoy this one at all, but the first is just as great so check it out as well.

Second Chances

Dan and Salone have a past that they haven’t forgotten but after 8 years they finally have to talk about it. Salone left chasing dreams but returns to Montana with a baby and a chance for a fresh start. Dan has been working, building his house and keeping things casual because he gave his heart away a long time ago. The way Dan supports and accepts Salone is heartwarming. There is a lot of moving pieces in this one and it was amazing. If you’re looking for a love story that includes a strong-willed woman who is taking the lead on chasing down a serial killer and a man who wants to keep her from danger but fully supports her. This one has lots of suspense, action and great characters. I can’t rave about it enough and the set-up for the next book has me impatiently waiting. I think this is going to be another one-click series!

Thrilling, suspenseful and exactly what I needed!

I always love a Freya Barker book! I was super excited to see a second generation of these High Mountain Trackers! We learn about not only the two main characters but a little about others on the team as well. I enjoyed this story especially Sloane who has a demanding job as well as Dan and his skills in the woods. They thrilling suspenseful book really kept me guessing and I loved every second of it!

Lila Winters and Oliver Highpoint do an amazing job on the narration.

I cant wait for the next one!!

Wonderful Suspense romance.

This is my 1st read by Freya Barker I really enjoyed the story, the characters and their relationships. I thought the ending was somewhat abrupt, but hope it was just a lead in to book 2. I also enjoyed the narration.

Second chance romance with HMT

High Frequency is the first book in The High Mountain Trackers 2G Series. Although it is not strictly necessary, I recommend reading and/or listening to the original series first. You will have a better feel for the area and all of the characters. In this book, we revisit Dan and Sloane. They have a past, but haven’t seen each other in eight years due to a misunderstanding. Sloane returns to the area as a new mother and is a detective with the sheriff’s department. Dan has matured and is now part of the HMT team. They work together following the disappearance of a young girl. The case becomes more complicated and the rest is history. This is an absolutely wonderful second chance romance with fascinating characters both old and new. Fantastic narration by Oliver Highpoint and Lila Winters. They portrayed all characters perfectly. I highly recommend listening to this audiobook.
