good story of military life

liked most of the reading of this story, over all the narrator has done a good job of switching accents to distinguish individuals. disliked the random scottish accents that Saelora was given, which seemed to have no regional basis. The story which is of a young mirror lancer officer finding his way through politics and external threats is a favourite of mine and I have both the hard copy and audible. It is slow paced and detailed which I enjoy in a story. the book is the second in the series and part of the wider recluce series.

This entire series has been so well written I have immensely enjoyed every single book as the entire series weaves a tapestry

As is usual, I enjoy the writing of LE Modesitt, Jr.

Some of the pronunciation is that of the UK and not of the US. It could be problematic for some listeners.

Another great story.

I always enjoy the Recluse tales. Although they build on a different aspect of the Recluse saga so each book could stand on its own
