They used to be enemies. Now they’re partners.

I never imagined Considine Maledictus—one of the most powerful vampires alive—would go from ruling the streets at night to joining the supernatural task force just to become my partner, but here we are.

Considine claims he “fancies” me. He also used to hide his identity and pose as my charming next-door neighbor, so forgive me if I don’t believe him.

As bad as that is, my work life is worse.

My slayer identity—kept a secret since a lone slayer is an easy target—has been leaked by a suspect from a previous case. This brings a new level of danger to my job, especially since the suspect is obviously holding a grudge against me.

But I’m more worried about my city. Bad things are going down, and whatever is stirring in the shadows is more than I can handle alone. Can I trust Considine to watch my back when he used to be the biggest threat to my life?

And why is it that despite everything that has happened, a part of me wonders if it’s possible for a slayer and vampire to be together…

The Order of Blood and Ruin is the final book in the Magic on Main Street urban fantasy trilogy, and is part of the Magiford Supernatural City world. This series is packed with humor, magical fights, and a sweet, slow burn romance between a slayer who battles social anxiety and a vampire who is sick of his immortality.

I thought the narrators did a decent job of capturing their respective characters and both handled action scenes particularly well.
KM Shea is one of my favorite authors and this is a fine sample of her work. I loved the character growth, the banter, and the world building. The task force made for a really fun set of side characters and I love watching them all interact! I have yet to come across any other urban fantasy author in the same class and that has not been due to lack of trying!

Action packed yet heartwarming

Kitty is a master at developing characters, complete with identifiable quirks and engaging mannerisms.
Jade, Considered and even the whole task force are no different
I loved the quirky fun card games, and Sarge's "punishment " that never seems to have a deadline and so is not really expected to be turned in, although Jade worries about it constantly.
I did keep looking for the Paragon to make an appearance, but I don't know how he could have been worked in, so
again Well done!

Once Again a Winner

Amazing. Awesome. Even better than the Gate of Myth and Power trilogy (something I would not have thought possible). I absolutely LOVE this series. It’s hilarious, engaging, and action-packed throughout.

This book wraps up the Magic on Main Street trilogy. I’ve been waiting for its release with great anticipation since finishing book 2 last month, and it didn’t disappoint. Jade and Considine make excellent partners and it’s quite adorable watching their relationship grow.

If you like comedic, action-romances, I cannot recommend this book enough! Beyond all expectations.

The fight scenes are plentiful but not gory. There’s no foul language or sex. The romance is clean and doesn’t go beyond kissing. There are no references to faith or God.

Amazing!
