I’m stuck sharing a coffin with the world’s perkiest vampire. This vacation is going to suck.

After centuries of eternal existence, and still mourning the loss of my lover to vicious slayers, I needed a few days of peaceful solitude at the Hotel Draugr.

But thanks to a double-booking mishap, I’m forced to share my coffin with Kilroy, a freshly bitten vampire who loves his new afterlife as much as he loves hanging ten. My unexpected roommate is determined to show me how “totally awesome” being a vampire can be.

Doesn’t he know vampires don’t do sunshine of any kind?

Through epic snowball fights and midnight meetups at vampire speakeasies, the ice around my not-technically-beating heart begins to melt. And during days sharing our too-small coffin, one part of me has trouble staying dead.

Maybe this budding relationship has teeth…that is, if we can evade the slayers closing in on the hotel.

Only One Coffin is a grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, paranormal MM romcom featuring a 300-year age gap, coffin cuddling, and a vampire bro who wears flip flops no matter how cold it is outside.

So creative. So fun. So hot. Well-performed. AJ is an incredible author. I’d love to read a sequel to this.

What else could you ask for?!

Great Job AJ!!! I loved this.

This was such a sweet story. Grumpy ancient vampire stuck with a brand new golden retriever vampire. They are stuck together and Kilroy, being the fun loving vampire, is determined to cheer up Magnus and make him live life to the fullest. With all their super vampire strength why not take advantage of it. So adventures they go on and the close proximity of having to share one coffin means other adventures happen. There is lots of laughter and romance.

Kilroy brings life back to Magnus and it really is super sweet. Magnus is also there for Kilroy when his undead friends don't except him as a vampire and want to kill him.

They get their HEA and end up making a vacation into a business. Kilroy is rewarded when one of his undead friends ends up at their resort and she is accepting of him. There is a human strain that is accepting of the vampire's.

Nick J Russo is always amazing as narrator.

Some of the reviews mentioned that it's a short listen, but the story doesn't feel rushed. It was a fun and enjoyable listen. Highly recommend!

Not short on story

I’ll probably listen to this ten times. It’s a funny take on vampires which manages to still be sincere and authentically emotional. That’s neat trick. Iceland was the perfect setting, and narration was on point.

Clever and sweet

Oh how much do I wish if only this would have been longer? The story was really short but really enjoyable. A.J. knows how to write and keep it funny and spicy at the same time. And two vampires? That was really original and I enjoyed every single minute of it. When it comes to Nick J. Russo's audiobook, I loved how he managed to distinguish Magnus and Kilroy. And the spicy scenes with his moaning were oh so good and really full of lust. Good job! Both Nick and A.J.!
