Daniel Benhannon, Maestro of the Atlantan Guild, has determined Rex Badger needs to be removed from his position. The Chief Conductor and Master Musician in the College of Musicians in New Aresia can no longer be allowed to infest the world with his schemes. The Badger recreated the fallen Serpent Guild within the college and enjoys the ignorant backing of the Zeuthan Empire. The entire infestation must be eradicated.

Daniel’s plans are interrupted by the Swirling of Events, an Imperative he could not ignore. Ruth the Seer warns, “The offspring of Poseidon shall make his choice; pray that it is the correct one. This I have seen and so it will be.”
The vague warning leads to a threat from the ocean that could cost Daniel his life and lead to victory for the Zeuthan Empire. Everything he gained since winning the War of the Champions would then belong to the thief, Rollen El Zeuller.
