Imagine my surprise when my new neighbor turns out to be one of Scotland’s most famous (and hottest) professional footballers, Callan Keen. I’m even more shocked to discover that the brooding player is still holding a grudge for something that happened (or didn’t happen) between us years ago.

Too busy trying to take my social media management company to the next level, I don’t have time for this gorgeous blast from the past. Or at least I shouldn’t. Yet whenever I see him, I can’t help but engage in a battle of wits with the grump upstairs.

When a huge client opportunity arises, circumstances force me to enlist Callan’s help. I require a fake date and Callan needs me to facilitate a meeting with my dad to further his own business interests.

The deal between us should be simple. Except, of course, the blazing chemistry we’ve shared since the moment we met. We can’t deny it, we can’t control it, and soon we’re agreeing to six weeks of no-strings-attached, mind-blowing, steamy shenanigans.

I told myself I was too smart to catch feelings. But when Callan finally finds out the truth about our past, he becomes the guy I used to know. And that man is way too easy to fall for.

The problem is that Callan has vowed to never let another person close enough to break his heart again.

It just might prove impossible to show my stubborn Scotsman I’m worth the risk, especially when old wounds are re-opened and threaten to wreck any chance of a future together…

From fake dating to enemies to lovers and finally not being able to fake it anymore, this story has everything. It is royally amazing! I loved how their history from high school shaped the way they are with each other now. As they started their fake relationship and she realized she didn’t want to pretend anymore, everything changed.

I didn’t want to stop listening. I was hooked from start to finish. All the anguish, passion, and love were wrapped into one unforgettable story.

Royally Hooked from Start to Finish

To me, it felt a bit unfinished, I would have liked to have seen the ending extended a bit.

Enjoyed!

I thought it would be very difficult to start a new era of on Dublin street and stand alone and be good but Samantha Young did it. It felt different from on Dublin street but with the same vibe. I’m looking forward to the next book on this series. Great dual POV narration.

New era, same exceptional writing.

I haven’t read on Dublin Street series but a lot of Samantha Young. On Loverose Lane is the first book in this second generation series. You do. Ot need to read On Dublin Series to figure out the story. (Though I will most likely go, ack to reread the series). Rugby has been the sport theme recently for romance books. The male main character is a professional Rugby player in Scotland. Beth is the CEO of a social media management company. This second chance novel follows Callan and Beth. Callan and Beth first met in high (or secondary) school. Their story goes through some ups and downs— mostly during their second chance though high school Callan and Beth do go through an emotional ringer. These two realize how much they are good for the other. My heart goes to both of them at different points in the story. I wish I could have given them hugs. Overall, this story will warm your heart and make you want to read the first generation series (if you haven’t or maybe a reread if you had). I did enjoy their story and look forward to the next book in this series.

Shane East. Ah, that Brit. I just love his Scottish accent on here. This may be my first book narrated by Zara Hampton-Brown. She does a really good job narrating Beth’s chapters. She brings youthfulness into the story.

I love that we are continuing with the next generation of ODS characters. j like all the callbacks to Joss and Braden's story, but I also didn't like that it was so familiar, almost recycled. I hope this won't be a pattern for the next kids. the narrators were wonderful, though I don't think I ever got used to the female narrator doing the male voice. I'm already looking forward to the next book.

excited for the continuation of these characters
