A generational curse hits a brother and sister during a Texas freeze. This was a good atmospheric slow burn with some genuinely creepy moments. I enjoyed it!

Haunting

The narrator did a great job with this one. The story is short and to the point without much extra and I like that. Not overly “scary” in any sense, but has a haunting family curse that lasts generations.

Frozen Faustian Deal with the Devil

Review: "This House Will Never Be Warm" by Paul Avery Tindol.
This is a short, enjoyable frozen horror tale with an inventive villain. It's the tale of a family's generational curse, brought upon them by the selfishness of an individual during the American Civil War in a sort of Faustian "make a deal with the devil" kind of moment. But this time, the hell that gets experienced is very cold. It culminates in modern times. I feel like there could be more room to explore other generations and flesh this out into a longer tale, but it works at its current 127 pages. I listened to the audiobook version.

Great Listen

Very soothing and interesting listen! The narrator was great at building tension and atmosphere. Great to pop on for commute.

Great story

Wow. This will get you hooked from the first chapter. The narrator did a great job and the story is creepy! I didn’t want to leave my car and go into work when I was near the end! I definitely recommend!
