My life was magic in a shattered bottle...

I feel like I’ve done this before. Except…not exactly like this.

There’s zero logic behind this feeling I have, this feeling that I’ve woken up in this hospital before. The doctors insist I’ve been in a coma since Halloween and only just woke up. Yet I remember waking up and seeing my best friend sitting by my bed but she’s not here now. I remember meeting two nurses who the doctors swear don’t exist. They say the mind is a complex place and it was just a dream, an unconscious desire to wake up. But I can see it clearly in my mind and no dream has ever felt more real.

Just when I’ve convinced myself the doctors are right, that science knows best, my aunt and uncle tell me that I’m a witch.

A witch.

I thought they’d lost their minds or were playing a prank…until I leave the hospital and find we’d moved hours away to a small community of witches. All I want is for this nightmare to end and for my life to return to normal. But my magic is too powerful to ever go back to life before the accident. They tell me my magic is the only reason I survived, yet I can’t shake this feeling that I’ve lost something huge…and the phantom pain isn’t the only thing haunting me. Something lurks in the shadows of the night and I’m afraid it might catch me before the truth comes out.

Because the more time I spend among witches, the less I know what’s my imagination and what’s real…

I enjoyed this book very much. I can't wait for the next one. I'm also going to look into to other books related to the coven.

love this series.

Story is good. Appreciated the skip because it was too graphic option given from the author. Love Savannah, she is my favorite character. She makes me laugh. Throughout the whole series it has been hard to follow who is who because the reader throws her voice around too much with accents that don’t stay with the characters. So it is hard to know who you are following if you don’t get the name at the beginning of the chapter. Also Frankie’s voice is nasally, annoying, and sometimes has a southern accent/sometimes not. Might read it instead.

Voice of Frankie was nasally and annoying

I love the entire Coven series and the Vampire season does not disappoint. Frankie is a strong protagonist. I love her feistiness and determination and I loved finally getting to know the mysterious tower card. My only complaint about this book is the voice the narrator used for Frankie. She completely changed it from the first book to the second book. I thought maybe the narrator had a slight cold or something. It was jarring and took me out of the story completely. The narrator did a great job with all the other books and voices until this one. In Blood Witch, Frankie sounds fierce and sexy and confident, which fits the character. Now, she suddenly has a nasally southern accent which doesn’t suit her personality at all. I don’t know why it was changed but it’s very distracting and it’s hard to believe in this mature bada** witch when she sounds like a sickly middle schooler. I cringed every time she spoke and may not have continued if I hadn’t been so invested in the entire Coven series. If you can get past that, then do it because the story is great. But please go back to Frankie’s voice from Blood Witch for the rest of the series. Please please please.

Fantastic story, character voice is awful

Listening to it on audiable, when Frankie was speaking to other people, her voice was super nasely and sounded like Miley Cyrus. Not a fan! But other times it was normal. Has a hard time pushing through with this reading. The other books didn’t have that voice issue. The storey is great though

Good story line
