Grumpy/Sunshine Romance

This is a sweet grumpy/sunshine office romance with charming moments and likeable characters. Daniel Rosenberg and Bonnie Walsh did a good job narrating the audiobook and bringing the story to life.

The narrators were both very good

I think the story was well written and the liked the multiple, first person, points of view.

Office romance

Ethan in a long term relationship that he doesn’t see it going anywhere.
He’s grumpy, a workaholic, thinking he is resolved his life won’t get better. Things changed when he met Ivy. She is a ray of sunshine in his dismal life.
This story is enjoyable with some spice.
The narrators were very good.

Enjoyable

The Makeup Girl by Eddy Twice is an amazing cute British office romance. Daniel Rosenberg and Bonnie Walsh did an excellent job with the narration. The story is entertaining, cute, enjoyable, romantic, and funny. I like how the characters and their relationship develops. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.would recommend

Narrators Shine in This Romance

The story had its moments but didn't fully capture my interest. The characters’ inner monologues seemed a bit repetitive, and some of their choices felt impulsive, which made it harder to feel connected to their journey. I had hoped for a bit more chemistry between the leads and a bit more depth in the storyline, as the plot felt surface-level at times. While the humor didn't quite land for me, I can see it appealing to others. Once the main characters did come together—though it took a bit longer than expected—the story did improve. However, after a few repeated misunderstandings, I found it hard to stay engaged. On a positive note, the narrators brought a lot of life to the story, and both did a fantastic job in making the listening experience enjoyable!
