Can a lifestyle reporter and a coffee shop owner find love brewing between them? Or will their blend be too bitter to succeed?

Emery Darlis hates her job. She's a journalist stuck writing feel-good local stories for a web magazine, and she's grumpy about it. In fact, she's going to burn out quickly if she doesn't get to write something more interesting soon.

Trevor Kovacic's coffee shop is failing. It's the place that houses all the memories of his family, and it's got two months, tops. He's trying to stay positive, but he needs a miracle.

Emery and Trevor have nothing in common. That is, until they share an unforgettable one-night stand.

They never expect to see each other after that, until Emery makes a bold bet with her boss to write a viral feature, and they end up face to face. Again.

Desperate to win and intrigued by Trevor's situation, Emery pitches a series of articles about his shop. They'll have to work together, but that should be easy . . . if they can each stop thinking about that one, passionate night.

Contains mature themes.

If the Hallmark Channel doesn’t scoop this up, cast it brilliantly, and make it an instant hit, it is their loss. This is Samberts’s best book yet.

Trevor’s coffee shop that has been passed down from his grandfather, to father to him is failing and has about two months left. Emery, is a lifestyle reporter for a web magazine stuck writing feel-good stories. Until Emery makes a bet a work to pitch a series of articles about Trevor’s shop to help save it. They will have to start working together, but that shouldn’t be a problem, except they can’t stop thinking about each other.

I just loved this story. I loved the reverse grumpy vs sunshine trope, with he falls first. The banter between Trevor and Emery is hilarious. I loved reading the articles that Emery wrote on the coffee shop and seeing them progress. Cass, Vi, Mike and Donna just add so much to the story, you can’t go wrong with found family. If you are looking for a light hearted rom com then this is your you. I laughed, I cried, it was such the perfect blend!

Listened to on @audible. Narrated by Xander Marceaux and Eva Wilhelm. I love the dual narration. I really enjoined listening them. They added so much to the characters!
