good book. . . good narrator. . .will get the next book in the series.

Weak character development

Weak character development, the pacing feels rushed, almost monotone. On another note, awesome magic system!!!

Not as good as the first

Overall just not as good as the first in this series. Additionally they end up partying with an incredibly annoying character about 2/3 of the way through and this character stays in the party for enough time to make me not want to finish reading.

Pretty decent

Middle of the road but still very enjoyable. Narration helps immensely, bit too number crunchy for me but might be a good fit for you if that’s your things.

Great second

Story continues to deliver in a big way, even parts that are similar don’t feel repetitive. Well worth a listen.
