Story? Good. Voice Acting? Very Meh

I like the story but the main characters voice is very robotic. It's odd because the action sections are much more comfortable but the minute Charlie speaks It feels like he has almost no emotion. Couple of "Goblet of fire!" moments. IYKYK

Great Book.

I liked this read very much. I will be listening to it again. I cried and didn't want it to end.

You have to read this book!

This book was one of the best I have read in a long time! The character building and all of the details put into the story are just absolutely fantastic. The MMC in this book is so different compared to ones I’ve seen in the past and I am so thankful for it. Reading about a guy that actually shows his feelings is such a change of pace and so welcome. This book had me all over the place emotionally but in such a good way. I can’t believe I’m just finding this author, but believe me this is just the beginning!

Kelsey has always been a go-to author for me, but this one missed the mark a little. Enjoyed the story more than the narration....and it feels like it dragged on toward the end. I was more invested in the beginning TBH. Also (and this is just my personal preference), found it annoying that this was listed as dual narrators--but think there was only like 1 chapter in the whole book with a female voice. I already didn't enjoy the male narrator but to hear him do female voices too was super disappointing. I haven't experienced Rain & Soldier's story yet, but plan to!

Grief and anxiety never hurt so good

Kelseyyyyy- whyyyyyy? My heart broke and broke again and broke again and then felt healed. This story and Soldiers live rent free in my head now. The realness of the characters, the anxiety, the struggle to live with grief- all of it made this such a good read.
