A bit disappointed

Honestly disappointed in this one. Really enjoyed the first duology, but this one falls a bit flat. The time jump into the second book felt unnecessary and was just a device to add more urgency for no reason. There was really no character development in this book; we didn’t really get to see the protagonists grapple with things and didn’t have other POVs to dive into other reactions to the end of the first book. The actual magic plot feels a little like a rinse and repeat of the second book of the first duology. Overall it felt rushed and highly predictable in an unsatisfying way. I definitely still recommend the Hollow Vows duology by the same author, but you could probably skip this one.

Frustrated

Having a hard time getting through this book. I loved her last 2 books. Went in so excited about this edition. Very frustrated with Jasalyn’s character was too much for me listen too.

just to much.

I really liked the first 2 books in this series, they were absolutely heart wrenching and thr cliff hangers and all around great. The book that came before this one was still pretty good. this book though was hard to get through. All of the twists were predictable, there was a way over use and the cheesy and awkward "spicy" scenes that just didnt need to be there. honestly I'm really disappointed with how this book ended up.
