Tangling up with my new physical therapist, Mila Lewis, is a mistake. One I can't seem to stop making.

When I sign with the Tennessee Thunderbolts, I have two goals: prove my injury hasn't benched my career and get back to New York. But then, I meet Mila, the enigmatic therapist tasked with rehabbing my shoulder.

With her long ponytail, professional demeanor, and girl-next-door look, Mila is nothing like my usual type. She's better—a good girl with sad eyes and a tragic past our small town loves to dissect.

With the entire town up in her business, our budding connection is far from simple. I'm not staying, and Mila will never leave.

Deep down, I know I should walk away and let her find the happily-ever-after she deserves.

But I can't. Not without showing her that it could be me. And that may be the biggest mistake of all.

Contains mature themes.

I wanted to like this, but the level of inaccuracy about Knoxville is astounding. the MMC calling a heavily forested area dusty. The FMC saying "i stop a the red-light, one of only three in town..." what the hell? Knoxville has a population over 100k in the city proper. she also said the whole town knew all her business with her ex. In a city that size? really?

To top all that off the FMC isn't even old enough to have the job she does as a physical therapist. with the info in the book shes 23 to 24 years old. it takes 7 years of schooling to be a PT. so at minimum she'd need to be 25 to fresh out of school.

I get this is fiction, but it's contemporary fiction that was based in a real city. only made it to chapter 10 before I just couldn't do it any more.

please when you write and pick a real location do some research.

The MFC was emotionally immature. She was stuck in her grieving over her parents and the end of her long term relationship. When conflict comes up with the MMC, instead of communicating she avoids which makes it worse. If she had just talked with him then the conflicts would’ve been avoided. She wouldn’t even consider moving with him until after they had been together for years. Why would she want to stay stuck in her hometown where everyone talks about her. It was really annoying how everything had to be about what she wanted. Another reviewer said it was the MMC that had caused the conflict but it was really the MFC.

Good Story but
