Hope taught me the meaning of life, Tina taught me the meaning of love.

It's not everyday you meet a golden retriever in Thailand.

When Niall came across a dog shackled to a short chain and in a poor state of health something reminded him of his personal battle with addiction. He knew he had to rescue her immediately – golden retrievers are rare in Thailand – but there was just something about this dog in particular that told him she was destined for more.

He named her Tina, and what she did next is an incredible tale of survival, hope and love. Despite her terrible treatment at the hands of humans, she refused to distrust them or feel sorry for herself, and only opened her heart wider – always with a grin (yes dogs can smile) and a reassuring wag of her shaggy yellow tail.

From the minute Tina was free of her chains, she got on with what needed to be done, inspiring a dog hospital to be built and named after her and helping dogs from all over the world – whether they're street dogs from Thailand or rescue pups in Montana. The movement behind Tina has not stopped.

This is her story.

The dedication, the honesty, and the love of our four-legged best friends are all reasons Niall’s mission inspires all of us, his followers, and we love and support Happy Doggo in the best ways we can and are so grateful for all who work tirelessly to help the innocents!!

For the love of dogs!

I pre-ordered this book a couple of months before it’s release date after following the author on social media for some time. He weaves a beautiful story of personal growth and healing with his mission to heal dogs who are mistreated, neglected and abandoned.

Such a feel good story. This is not my preferred genre, but I could listen to this man tell stories about animals he has saved for hundreds of hours. He brings hope to the hopeless.

Bravo! You did Tina proud, Niall.

Exceeded my excited anticipation

I had preordered the hard copy of TINA, The Dog Who Changed the World months in advance and was thrilled when it arrived on release day. Discovering that Niall had also narrated the audiobook, I purchased the audible version and began listening yesterday afternoon and found myself so engrossed that I finished it in under 24 hours. It's rare for a book to evoke such deep emotion, but I found myself repeatedly moved to tears—not solely from the loss of Tina, but from the profound messages of hope and resilience that permeate the narrative.

For anyone seeking a story that underscores the importance of perseverance and the profound connections we share with our animal companions, I wholeheartedly recommend listening to Niall Harbison narrate Tina’s story. It’s an experience that will leave you deeply moved—and inspired not to give up, but to conquer your own demons by making a difference in the lives of others, human or otherwise.

Deeply Moving | I finished the book in one day.

DID I FINISH THIS BOOK OR DID THIS BOOK FINISH ME?!?

I encourage everyone to grab a copy of TINA by Niall Harbison. This is a heartfelt story of transformation, a profound one. It’s about a man whose demons were reduced to ashes by the power of love: the love of a dog, and ultimately, thousands of dogs.

Sometimes we can’t fully grasp the impact we might have on someone’s life.

Let yourself be drawn into this story. Let yourself be wrapped in love, and in everything that came to be because of that love.

I discovered Niall and Happy Doggo through Alba, whose chapter is featured in this book, and I was deeply moved by the love and impact this one dog brought to thousands of homes around the world. Alba’s life was heartbreakingly short, a result of human negligence and violence, but she still got to witness the beauty of this world thanks to what Niall has created.

And for that, I’ll be forever grateful. Through Niall’s devotion and commitment to his mission, he not only changes lives every single day, he inspires us to do the same.

Thank you so much for this book, Niall, and thank you for not giving up.

OUTSTANDING AND BEAUTIFUL

I have followed Niall for a few years on social media and have become very invested in the work he and his team do. This book is a compilation of stories of the dogs we have followed and grown to love so much. Keep the tissues handy as you will be crying happy and sad tears. Niall has a beautiful, soothing voice and his narration is excellent. I love how he wrapped up the book with a discussion of things he uses to battle his anxiety and depression. He is such an inspiration.
