His introduction of black powder grenades and the use of his firearms were significant force multipliers, but that did not stop the Romans from visiting tragedy on his tribe and his family.

Max vows, “Never again,” and takes the fight to the Romans. He’s going to ensure that his growing family, his adopted tribe, and all the Saxon people are safe from the Roman Empire forever, even if it means gathering an army to cross the Rubicon.

great series

I really enjoy how there is a mix of history invention, war, magic, and mistiscm. Fantastic writing and a great performance.

Great ending to a great series.

I loved all the character development, as well as the history in the series. Tying it all to north. Mythology made it exceptionally interesting. I hope the author continues to write more books with Max as his main character.
