The Vietnam War is often remembered through its most defining moments—the Tet Offensive, the fall of Saigon, and the anti-war protests that rocked the United States. Yet, behind these well-known events lies a trove of lesser-known stories, strategies, and figures that played equally crucial roles in shaping the course and outcome of the conflict. The Forgotten Pages of the Vietnam War: 101 Interesting and Lesser Known Facts uncovers these hidden aspects, offering readers a more comprehensive understanding of one of the most controversial wars in history.

This book delves into the nuances of the war, revealing facts that range from the ingenuity of North Vietnamese guerrilla tactics to the political and cultural shifts that the war spurred across the globe. Each fact presented highlights an overlooked piece of history that helps illuminate the complexity of the Vietnam War. Whether it’s learning about the underground hospitals that sustained the North Vietnamese war effort, or discovering the secret roles played by lesser-known international forces, readers will walk away with a deeper appreciation of the war’s far-reaching impact.

While some of the facts may not be new to the seasoned historian, this collection weaves them together in a way that brings fresh perspectives even to those familiar with the conflict. For newcomers, it serves as an accessible yet thorough exploration of the war’s forgotten dimensions, offering insights that go beyond the standard historical narrative.

The Forgotten Pages of the Vietnam War takes you beyond the headlines and the battlefield, providing a look at the hidden layers of history that shaped the war and its legacy. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or someone with a growing interest in the Vietnam War, this book invites you to explore the forgotten chapters of a conflict that continues to shape global politics and memory today.

The narraration was good and as I review this I don't want this to come off really negative because that isn't my intention. The information in the book was good and I learned a few things. BUT there os so much repetition chapter to chapter. Each chapter seems like it was written written as its own individual thing and then all those parts were put together (yes, I know a book is a collection of chapters). Each subsequent chapter retells, in full detail, something you may have heard once, twice, thrice or more on your journey through the book. I mean no offense to the author either. It's written well and things are explained nicely. In my non-professional opinion the books could have been significantly shorter. The voice work was good and the writing was good but the repetiton occasionally made this...unappealing from time to time. Again, I don't want that to sound super negative because I genuinely enjoyed this.

The narraration was quite good.
