Labeled by many but understood by a few

I found the story of Gavin Newsom to be more about resilience and overcoming than the silver spoon usually associated with him. This is a story about Gavin Newsom growing up and building his empire before stepping into politics. It’s also the story of how we got from San Francisco to Sacramento. Gavin is unapologetically a moderate. It was great to learn more about his family and historical ties, and I found the book historically interesting, especially from someone who lives in the North Bay of California.
