Katie Gatti Tassin
Women experience money differently than men do. In the United States, women have only 55 cents for every dollar of wealth held by men, are more likely to end up in poverty following a divorce, and are less likely to retire with the resources they need. What can women do to build wealth and claim financial power in a system that wasn’t designed for them?
Katie Gatti Tassin, personal finance writer and host of the popular podcast The Money with Katie Show, has built an energized following of smart, ambitious women seeking a deeper understanding of the financial issues that affect them. In Rich Girl Nation, Tassin deconstructs the unique challenges women face on their journey to financial freedom, offering context and nuanced guidance on money matters including:
• Performing a budgetary “Hot Girl Detox”
• Proven salary negotiation strategies that effectively navigate gender bias
• Investing frameworks that make you the leader of your financial life
• How (and why) to create a prenup
• Preparing and saving for childcare efficiently
• Retiring independently (and in a tax-optimized way)
Packed with scrupulous research and Tassin’s trademark wit, Rich Girl Nation uncovers the real story behind our financial system and shows us exactly how to thrive within it while we fight for broader change. It’s time for women to unite in unapologetic financial autonomy with the net worths to show for it—and to change the playing field not just for ourselves but for the next generation of Rich Girls, too.

Critic reviews
"With Rich Girl Nation, Katie Gatti Tassin gives us optimism and reality, a feminist manifesto and a withering critique of the culture that made such feminism necessary. As always, she makes money into a living, breathing thing, informing and empowering us in equal measure. She is one of the greats."
-Chelsea Fagan, founder of The Financial Diet
“Rich Girl Nation is a truly original and necessary asset for every woman on their journey to financial freedom.”
-Tiffany "the Budgetnista" Aliche, New York Times bestselling author of Get Good with Money
“Katie Gatti Tassin is one of the freshest voices in personal finance, and Rich Girl Nation brilliantly applies humor, cultural critique, and realism to a conventionally narrow (and stale) topic. I’m a big fan!”
-Farnoosh Torabi, host of the Webby-winning So Money podcast
“Historically eye-opening and fiscally insightful. A book I want my daughter to read.”
-JL Collins, bestselling author of The Simple Path to Wealth
“Katie Gatti Tassin has elevated the discourse on personal finance. Rich Girl Nation goes beyond your average finance 101 book, both adding context to the financial landscape women face today, and exploring why understanding this context is crucial to making real progress.”
-Paula Pant, financial journalist and host of the Afford Anything podcast
"Rich Girl Nation cuts through the financial noise with refreshing clarity. In this insightful book, Katie Gatti Tassin expertly unravels the hidden threads of a financial system designed to work against women and female-identifying folks, while arming readers with deeply practical and actionable strategies to overcome systemic challenges."
-Paco de Leon, author of Finance for the People
“Tassin offers her readers warmth and compassion combined with the necessary directness to push even the most reluctant person toward bettering their financial life.”

There is so much packed in the listen, I had to listen to it twice and will probably go back a third time for all the bookmarks I left. I found myself wishing for this book 25 years ago to save me from bad decisions as I was listening. I will be giving it to my daughter in a couple of years and as gifts to all of her friends. Cannot wait for the next book!
Delivers the goods, HIGHLY Recommend!
