Good.

I enjoyed the book but there parts that didn’t quite make since- idk. The story is good but i know it’s one of those that’ll just upset me from the bs. Definitely an in between read- 4 stars.

Holy Toadshtupping Tadpoles!!

This book was everything! Sweet, hilarious, exciting, and heartbreaking! I laughed so much I literally choked, it was brilliant and I can’t wait to start book two. Add to that the accents and sass the narrators brought to the table and I’m in love! In love I tell you!! Read it! Read it now!! If you like why choose or shifter romance then read it!

I love Tessa Hale and have read/listened to all her books and have been trying to find something that scratches that itch. This book definitely does!

Slow start

Played at increased speed, which helped. I enjoyed the mystery behind the FC, and then it's another cliffhanger, so luckily I had a few credits for book 2.
The narrators were both easy on the ears, the last trilogy I listened to in this genre had me irritated at the female by book 3 because her voice switched into a monotone, but the male voice was very sexy, really.

Addictive slow burn with incredible narration

This storyline was addictively good—I genuinely didn’t want to stop listening. The dual narration, combined with talented male narrator (I thought there was multiple male narrators), made the audiobook feel incredibly immersive.

The female narrator especially stood out, perfectly capturing the authentic southern accent and humor woven throughout the story. The narration and pacing kept me fully engaged and constantly wanting more.

This is definitely a slow-burn series. There aren’t any spicy scenes yet, but the tension and buildup make it feel like it’s leading somewhere worth waiting for. Five stars and immediately onto book two.
