When someone seems too perfect, there's something wrong with them.

Amy has terrible taste in men. She's dated guys who cheated on her, beat her, and threatened to kill her, but none of them come close to Mark. At first, Mark is the ideal boyfriend—kind, smart, attractive, and funny. But as their relationship deepens, the charming facade crumbles showing his true colors.

He calls her all the time. He gets angry if she doesn't respond to his messages within minutes. He gets irrationally jealous and possessive. By the time Amy decides to leave Mark, it's already too late. He knows too much about her, and he'll stop at nothing to keep her to himself.

Trapped in a relationship from hell, Amy faces two choices: stay with Mark to make the bad things stop, or leave and suffer the consequences.

I was really intrigued at first, but as time went on, and the choices that the main character was making were not bad up until the middle of the book. Very questionable. I was almost starting to get mad at some of the decisions being made. I was, but I couldn’t be too upset, because I had to put myself in Amy’s shoes. It was hard, but I could relate to her a bit from my past. Everyone always had a different way of approaching situations, and I understand that. The very end, where Katherine swoops in and saves Amy, was super bizarre. Katherine let Amy go through the most traumatizing, physical, emotional and mental abuse, just to get to Mark put away. It was hard to hear that Amy went through all of that. Losing het best friends and all of her close family and friends for this monster. Just wild. Katherine, I find her to be just as bad as the monster that Mark was. I’m sorry. I know Katherine “saved Amy’s life”, but I would be so upset. A little too late in my opinion, especially when Katherine knew what kind of monster she was dealing with. I know I might be reading too much into this, but I’m a little mad at the outcome. It was good, up until the middle of the book. This gave me “wish version of Frieda McFadden style writing”.

A little predictable

Loved it! Kept you interested until the end. Great twist and there should be a sequel!

Great twist !

It was just slow and extremely predictable. Nothing was extremely surprising and the ending was bland.

The title

There are so many things in this book that are not believable at all. In the beginning the main character is portrayed to be a strong, independent woman. Yet, she folds so easily into being controlled by her unstable ex-boyfriend. She literally thinks he can't be hurt. And she never knew that her best friend since high school had a half-sister! Wished I hadn't purchased this one.

Completely Unbelievable
