A frosty delight!

Tawnya does it again! She brought to life Mary’s fun and quirky characters, Noelle and Jack, as they take on a snowy ride in this Cinderella retelling! Loved it and all the Easter eggs found inside!

Cinderella retelling

The Midnight Blizzard by Mary Mecham is a great Cinderella retelling romance. Tawnya Rollingson did an excellent job with the narration. The story is entertaining and romantic. The Midnight Blizzard is the second book in The Christmas Chronicle. The Midnight Blizzard takes place around Christmas. In this story Noelle is fighting for her stolen inheritance. Her stepfamily is trying to win the prince’s bride competition. Noelle enters to get back what is rightfully hers. And she falls for the prince and he is her only ally. What will happen next? I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend

Cute retelling of Cinderella

This was a quick but beautiful story. I loved Noelle right away, she’s the kind hearted Cinderella type and that is even before she meets Jack. It doesn’t take long for her and Jack’s paths to cross and sparks fly quite quickly. Jack is an interesting character. He’s a bit more quiet and reserved than Noelle, whether that is because he’s a guy or because he’s a mage, who is forbidden to have a romancing relationship with Noelle. Much like all of Mary’s other books, this book is clean, with some high steaks, and of course twists and turns on the Cinderella story that we all know.


The narration was done by Tawnya, I’ve listened to a handful of narrations by her before. She does a good job bringing the story to life. I liked the different voices she gave to each character.

Inventive

You forgot 6 geese a laying and 4 calling bird. But other than that I found it enjoyable to listen to.

Alternate Cinderella

This story is an alternate Cinderella story. The MC is left to the whim of her step mother and step-sisters after her father dies. They are going to compete in the events where the kingdoms price will choose a bride. but on the way, the FMC meets a mage who saves her and helps her solve the mystery of her father's missing will. The story was filled with action and a lot of twists and turns as well as a HEA.
