I like that this story was unpredictable. Paris is really sweet, and I love that Brett is sweet for him and his family. I can't wait to find out what happens next!
I bought this audiobook because Michael Ferraiuolo narrates it. He's amazing as always. Kirt Graves does an awesome job as well. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Sanctuary. It's a great story.

This book has intriguing world building and beautiful characters. A wonderful balance of heat and adventure.

A Great Take on Shifters

I really enjoyed this story and the approach to the idea of shifters, particularly the way in which it presents a new approach to look at them. The story of Paris and Brett is a sweet enticing story. The authors and the narrators presented such a awe inspiring tale that was sweet and romantic with a bit of intrigue. Thoroughly enjoyed this concept.

A Fresh Fantasy That Completely Won Me Over

This book completely surprised me in the best way. It felt fresh, original, and incredibly well written, and that's becoming increasingly rare for me.

The world-building was immersive without ever feeling overwhelming, and both settings came alive on the page. I especially loved the contrast between welcoming Nemeda and the cutthroat politics of Urial.

I also ended up loving Paris far more than I expected. Given his upbringing, I thought he'd be difficult to root for, but it quickly became obvious that he never truly belonged at court.

I've seen some criticism of the "disease," but I understood it to be tied to magic rather than physical contact, which made the characters' actions feel believable to me. Brett wasn't perfect, but that was also the only real flaw I found in him.

As for the narration, Kirt Graves was phenomenal as Paris. He completely captured his personality and emotional journey. Michael Ferraiuolo also gave a strong performance as Brett.

I'm already listening to the next book because I need to know Killian's story and what really happened with Hector. I can't wait to continue this series.
