Not horrible

The writing is pretty amateur... A lot of mixed metaphors, sloppy descriptions, confusing action scenes, poor grammar, and lazy editing (like, if Pandora has never had cotton candy before, how did she determine Reed's scent to be Cotton Candy???) I had similar issues with Fates Hollow Academy.

While I'm enjoying the storyline, this book spends a lot of time rehashing the events of Book 1.

The female VA does an okay job with the FMC, but for the rest of the characters she verges on the ridiculous. The male VA does a pretty good job differentiating between male characters.

I can’t decide my opinion on this series yet

This series has all the things I love, whychoose. Paranormal. Academy. Fated mates. Bully romance. Enemies to lovers. I enjoy each character. They are well thought out. But I just don’t find myself excited to keep listening. It feels a bit repetitive and falls flat in many areas. But then it pulls me in here and there and always ends on a note that makes me want to purchase the next one. So is it the best thing I ever read, no. Is it the worst, no. Is it worth the credit, maybe. I like masterpiece writing as much as I like cheesy writing with good vibes and a whole lot of fun. I think my main issue is the slowness of the plot. It almost feels like book one and 2 could have just been one book. Book on was a lot of repetitive bullying but along a long time for the plot to pick up. Book two was a lot of repetitive groveling waiting for the plot to pick up. But when the plot hits it gets fun. I think it’s a good filler series. It has potential. And with that confusing review I will still purchase the rest of the series.

I am so glad to find a FMC that doesn't forgive all immediately. I am greatly enjoying this tale, and can't wait for the next 2 books.
